You Glow, Girl!

The thing I noticed about natural hair is it’s profound ability to bring out your face more than when you mask it with long, fake weave. We are biologically blessed with beautiful, rich skin that comes with a natural glow. Still, there are a few  ways  that  you can probably bring out that naturally glow and make your skin look flawless. Especially with the humid summers and dry winters in Canada, a little help can go a long way.

1. Cardio exercise – a bit of sweat can do wonders for a natural skin glow. Web M.D actually reports that regular exercise keeps your skin vibrant and healthy as well as boosts collagen levels. (And collagen is good!). Try a 30 minute dance session in your bedroom or take your bike out for a spin. Don’t forget sunscreen!

2. Lemon – Lemon has long since been used as a remedy for skin woes and you can probably find a few in your kitchen. Putting some lemon peels in water and doing a face steam can work wonders for your complexion. A lemon’s nutrients are concentrated in the peel.

3. Sephora has a bevy of amazing (and expensive) skincare solutions for your face. I would love to save up and try Jurlique (Jennifer Lopez uses that line) and this Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer that is supposed to soften, hydrate, firm and brighten the complexion. It is a natural product and formulated without: parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOS and Triclosan. The 4 ounce bottle is $90.00. It is pricey so I suggest saving up for it for the winter month’s.
